Toyota has unveiled a new yellow paint option for its TRD Pro off-road vehicles, called Honeycomb. The 2027 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro will feature this bold new color. The new paint seems pretty shifty, but in a good way. Its finish appears almost eggshell or satin in the shadows, but once it gets in the sun, it pops.
Honeycomb is a little less loud than Toyota's last TRD Pro special color, WaveMaker, but it's just as singular. The Tacoma and 4Runner high-po off-road variants get a slightly different shade called Hot Honey. Toyota rolled out some other incremental updates for the 2027 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro, including standard red tow hooks and "Fox-enhanced" QS3 adjustable shocks.
View Price on AmazonWhether or not you dig the Honeycomb color family, you can hopefully agree that more colors on cars is a good thing. And as far as visibility goes, it's still a lot more subtle than the Solar Octane orange that Toyota rocked for a while. The 2027 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro are expected to go on sale later this year, with pricing and more details to be announced closer to launch.
