The coupe, which was built by West Coast Customs, appears to have suffered from a front-end collision. There are some big names in the world of celebrity car enthusiasts, but none are physically larger than NBA legend Dr. Shaquille O’Neal. Standing at over seven feet tall and tipping the scales at more than 300 pounds, Shaq isn’t exactly the right size to fit into most vehicles. That hasn’t stopped the superstar from building a fleet of one-off machines specifically tailored to his abnormally ample frame, including this unique Lucid Air Coupe.
And you now have a chance to take it home, thanks to the team at Copart. Road & Track first reported on the bespoke Lucid Air coupe back in 2024 following Shaq’s delivery from the famed West Coast Customs. These sorts of wonky projects are exactly the sort of thing the shop is known for, having worked on a number of cars for Shaq himself, as well as oddities like Mark Zuckerberg's Cayenne-turned-minivan.
View Price on AmazonThis particular build includes all sorts of touches one might expect to honor the all-time great player, including a smattering of Superman logos, as well as a badge replacement that reads “Diesel” (references to his nickname as a player, as well as his second career as a DJ). The latter is a pretty funny adjustment considering the Lucid’s all-electric powertrain; the car itself is based on the entry-level Pure trim, which is good for 480 horsepower and 686 lb-ft of torque.
Unfortunately, this one-off machine appears to have been damaged following a front-end collision. The bumper has been completely removed and many of the components hidden under the front panels appear damaged, but everything from the A-pillar back looks pretty solid from what we can see. It’s clear that the car will need a patient owner with a decent budget for parts, as there is some real repair work to be done.
That said, the vehicle has only done about 2900 miles since new, so it could have a good lift left upon completion. Copart puts the estimated retail value at $59,000, which is a bit steep for an entry-level Lucid that’s been wrecked. Having Shaq listed as a previous owner is pretty good as far as bragging rights go, I suppose.
