For those looking to own a piece of automotive history, seven Saab prototypes are up for auction in Sweden. These pre-production vehicles, which include 9-3 models and electric cars, are remnants of the company's former Trollhättan production facility.
Among the prototypes are three 2014 9-3 models, which were intended to serve as gasoline-powered cars while the company worked on its electric lineup. Three other 2014 prototypes were meant for crash testing but were never used.
The rest of the lineup consists of electric vehicles, including a pre-production 2019 9-3 EV, a 9-3 with all-wheel drive, and a self-driving 9-3 prototype. Additionally, there is a 9-3 fitted with a range extender. The final car up for auction is a Hengchi 5 crossover prototype built by Evergrande.
To participate in the May 21 auction, interested parties must register for an account with Klaravik. While Swedish residents can register as private entities, those outside of Sweden must register as businesses.
