Porsche has stopped production of its Taycan Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo models due to low sales. The news was confirmed by a Porsche spokesperson, who stated that the wagons are indeed gone. This isn't the first time we've seen this happen, as the Panamera Sport Turismo died in 2023 due to low sales.
The irony is that the BMW M5 wagon and Audi RS6 Avant have both far exceeded their respective automaker's sales expectations in the US market. It's unclear what the future holds for Porsche's wagon lineup, but for now, it seems that the company is focusing on other models.
The Taycan Cross Turismo was confirmed back in 2021, and it featured a Gravel Roads driving mode. Last year, Executive Editor Andrew Collins reviewed the Cross Turismo and noted that it might just be the best all-around EV. However, it seems that not enough people shared his enthusiasm, and the model has been discontinued.
Editor-In-Chief Kyle Cheromcha reviewed the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo after it launched in 2022 and called it the best electric Porsche. However, it seems that the haters didn't get behind the wheel of the Taycan GTS wagon, and the model has been discontinued.
