Jeep Unveils 2-Door Wrangler Scrambler Pickup with SRT Version

Expect a V-8 under the hood, and serious off-road chops. On Thursday, Stellantis revealed plans for a massive product revamp, and it turns out Jeep has one of the most exciting additions to the squad: a new Scrambler.

The Drive, Car and Driver, and a few other media outlets were able take a look at the truck—officially named “Wrangler Scrambler,” as revealed by a Stellantis presentation in 3-D-printed buck form. In short, it sounds like it’s shaping up to be one of the coolest products Jeep has ever released.

For starters, the great news here is that the Scrambler will offer an SRT variant. That most likely means it’ll have a V-8 under the hood, with the 392 being the obvious candidate; Jeep has already committed to bringing the 6.4-liter V-8 to the Gladiator, so plopping it into the Scrambler is a natural fit.

When it comes to the exterior, the Scrambler will be a Jeep Gladiator-based, two-door pickup. We didn’t see it, but The Drive says the front end has a “shark nose design” with a hood that “cants forward.” Squared-off headlights will continue the unique look, and the hood will have a prominent intake slot.

While it only has two doors, the interior has four seats—the rears can reportedly swivel to face backwards—but the doors are longer than on normal Gladiators, to allow easier ingress to the rear. A side step will reportedly help you step up to the rear to hop in that way, should the removable hardtop be off, too.

Jeep didn’t say exactly when the Scrambler will be ready, but it’s positioned on the same slide as every other Stellantis vehicle announced today, which means we’ll see it before 2030.
