Honda is planning big changes for two of its most important models. According to a report from Automotive News, the Accord is set to get a substantial makeover in the second half of 2027, while the off-road-focused Passport TrailSport will get more extreme with an update in late 2026.

Automotive News reports that the Accord's refresh will bring sharper styling that was described as more "modern and futuristic" than the current, restrained design, according to the publication's anonymous sources. The design may take inspiration from the Hybrid Sedan prototype that was shown last month, which had thin, piercing headlights, crisp bodywork, and a fastback roofline that was oddly reminiscent of the Lamborghini Espada.

The front end reportedly features a narrower grille and slimmer headlights, while the rear is described as more angular and less soft than the current model. The overall look is said to be an evolution of the canceled 0-series Saloon EV, which had a radical wedge shape. "The 0-series went too far," a source told Automotive News. "The Accord strikes the right balance."

Inside, drivers will find a larger infotainment screen. Powertrains will likely carry over, but Honda could introduce the S+ Shift system seen on the Prelude, which has a simulated manual mode that pretends to shift gears. Looking ahead, Automotive News reports that the Accord might go hybrid only when a major overhaul comes around 2030.

The Passport, meanwhile, is set to double down on its all-terrain approach with an update later this year to the TrailSport trim, only two model years after the current generation launched. The Passport TrailSport will gain around an inch of extra ride height, with sources telling Automotive News that the SUV will get "more testosterone."

The improved ground clearance will also be paired with other suspension changes, the report states, along with design changes to the front and rear to create an "aggressive stance." If this report holds true, we should see the updated Passport TrailSport in a few months, with the refreshed Accord likely to debut early next year.
