Ford Motor Company has announced a recall affecting 179,698 vehicles. The recall targets specific 2024-2026 Ford Bronco and Ranger models, where bolts for the front seat height-adjust pivot links may loosen or detach from their joints.
The issue stems from a supplier's manufacturing process. According to the official recall report, a torque check procedure was performed on the bolts before their adhesive patch had fully cured, inadvertently compromising the bond on the threaded fasteners.
This manufacturing oversight can lead to the pivot bolt becoming loose over time and eventually dislodging. This isn't the first time Ford has faced a recall related to seat bolts. The automaker previously recalled 163,256 2021-2023 Broncos in October 2023 for the exact same problem.
Ford continued to monitor vehicles manufactured between 2024 and 2025 and confirmed in March that the number of warranty reports concerning this issue was on the rise. Currently, Ford is aware of 60 warranty claims but reports zero accidents or injuries linked to the defect.
To rectify the problem, Ford dealerships will remove the front seats and thoroughly inspect the pivot link bolts. Any bolt that fails the inspection will be replaced. Owners might notice symptoms such as loose, squeaky, or rattling seats.
'; echo 'Ensuring secure seating is paramount for occupant safety, and Ford\'s proactive measure to address this defect is a welcome step towards maintaining vehicle integrity.
