California: Forum Mobility Customers Order 60 Tesla Semis

U.S. electric fleet service provider Forum Mobility announced that two of its clients have collectively ordered 60 Tesla Semis. Logistics firm Big F Transport plans to deploy 40 units of the electric truck, while an additional 20 units are allocated to Nica Container Freight Line. These electric trucks will be charged at Forum Mobility's facilities.

The relatively new Forum Mobility has quickly established itself as a key service provider in the burgeoning U.S. electric truck sector, offering solutions such as vehicle leasing and extensive charging hubs.

The company operates several charging locations along major freight routes, providing communal depots for truck operators without their own dedicated charging infrastructure. This network is set to expand with a new charging park in Rancho Dominguez, California, which will feature 14 megawatt chargers and is slated for completion in Q1 2027.

Big F Transport, a transportation specialist based in Paramount, California, has prior experience with electric vehicles, having already integrated nine Daimler Truck North America eCascadia electric trucks into its fleet for operations at the Port of Long Beach.

Following a successful trial with the Tesla Semi, Big F Transport is now proceeding with an order for 40 units of the Tesla truck, according to Forum Mobility. These new electric trucks are expected to operate out of the upcoming Rancho Dominguez charging hub.

The second Semi customer is Nica Container Freight Line, a Los Angeles-based transportation company that Forum Mobility introduces as a new client.

Nica Container's 20 ordered Semi units are also scheduled to operate from the Rancho Dominguez charging hub, with the full electric fleet anticipated for early 2027. Forum Mobility describes Nica Container as "a long-standing family business with locations in the ports of Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Houston."

Looking ahead, Forum Mobility itself plans to commission four additional communal depots across its network later this year and into early next year, further solidifying its position in the electric trucking ecosystem.
