The new Vanlife model is preconfigured for camping, and it's available with various options, starting at just over $60,000. Ram's family of ProMaster vans is basically a blank canvas for chauffeurs, tradespeople, and campers. Their highly configurable nature and apartment-like interiors let customers go all out when building them. And when it comes to camping, the ProMaster lineup features various options for creating a home on wheels.
For the 2027 model year, Ram aims to make that process even easier, and it claims the new Vanlife variant will constitute a discount too. While Ram hasn't officially revealed the new 2027 ProMaster Vanlife, we discovered the details through an online configuration and pricing tool, which a Ram representative confirmed provided details about the upcoming model. Basically, the Vanlife treatment bundles a bunch of existing options that can be compiled on the current ProMaster configurator, only they won't cost as much compared with the à la carte method.
For an extra $4995, you get auxiliary switches, front seats that swivel, LED headlights and fog lights, a shelf above the roof trim, a fixed second-row window on the driver's side, a sliding door with glass on the passenger side, and rear-hinged back doors. Plus, the Vanlife model has the Black Appearance package, which includes a black-painted RAM logo in the grille as well as matching exterior badges and 16-inch wheels. However, this equipment has to be paired with certain ProMaster configurations, namely the 159-inch wheelbase and high roof, though customers can pick between the 2500 chassis or the 3500 that also offers an extended version.
Every 2027 Ram ProMaster Vanlife features a 276-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and an automatic transmission that feeds the front axle. The 2500 version starts at $60,320, while the 3500 High Roof and 3500 High Roof Ext start at $61,365 and $64,225, respectively. Of course, all of those prices can rise even higher depending on the additional options. For example, each Vanlife variant can be upgraded with add-ons such as the $1295 Premium Convenience package (dual 10.1-inch dashboard displays, passive entry, wireless charging pad), the $1145 Safety Group (blind-spot monitor, digital rearview mirror, parking sensors, and lane-departure warning), or the $1295 Leather Interior Group (steering wheel, front seats).
