Check out the exterior photos of the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GLS63. The 2027 Mercedes-AMG GLS63 still has a 603-hp V-8, but not exactly like the one it had before. The GLS63 is electronically limited to a 174-mph top speed.
Behind that grille is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 that makes 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes-AMG claims a zero-to-60-mph time of 3.9 seconds, but we saw 3.6 seconds to 60 mph from a 2021 model.
In Sport mode, the air springs drop ride height by 0.4 inch. Active exhaust helps broadcast the new sound from the flat-plane V-8. Active roll control keeps the big Benz from feeling too nautical in the corners. Since it's a big SUV, the GLS63 is available with big wheels—23 inches in diameter.
Pricing for the 2026 model started at more than $150,000, and we don't expect the 2027 to be any less expensive.
